Good food, good friends, good entertainment, and good
information - it doesn't get much better than this. The ninety members
that attended the Capitol District Spring Convention on March 20th in Lampasas
experienced all of this; and some had the added excitement and satisfaction
of winning awards for their programs and projects. Congratulations to the
winners.
Two Capitol District members deserve special congratulations. Our own Mary Melton was endorsed by the convention members as a nominee for TFWC President-elect; and Flo Pustejovsky, President of Les Causeuses, was awarded Outstanding Clubwoman/Volunteer for 2000-2001. Our summer workshop will be held in Salado, June 12th, at the Salado Civic Center. Beverly Parks, President-elect, will be presiding and she is already busily planning the program. Please make your plans now to attend. We always enjoy the quaintness of Salado and the uniqueness of the shops. In future news releases we will have a feature section titled "Meet Your District Officers" and will display their pictures and give a brief personal history (nothing too personal). I think you will like this section. Please don't forget to send your name, club, and e-mail address for our e-mail directory.
