The mission of the corrections system in Hill County
is to contribute to the well being of the community and its citizenry through
coordinated efforts to enhance public safety by providing program, service,
sanction, deterrent and custodial options to the Courts. We are committed to
performing our duties in accord with constitutional, legal and ethical
mandates, and in compliance with applicable standards.
Cognizant of our responsibility to reduce and
control for risk of continued criminal behavior, we believe in behavior
accountability, surely and fairly effected based on individualized risks and
needs, designed to promote rehabilitation, prosocial change and maintenance of
the offender as a contributing member of the community, and premised upon the
inherent worth and dignity of the individual.
